Balloon Delivery – A Trendy New Gift Idea for 2010
Year after year I send flowers or champagne for birthdays, anniversaries, Mother’s Day and other occasions. I realised the recipients were probably getting quite bored with it, so I began to search for other ideas on the internet and managed to find the perfect gift – balloons! Sending balloons by post is something a little different, something a bit more exciting. I am going to send my little sister some for her birthday next week, and I can just imagine her surprised expression when the balloons come bounding out of the box and into the room! I’m quite famous for my lack of originality when it comes to gift-giving. In fact, I’m appalling – so hopefully I’ve found a trendy new gift to send to people this year.
Getting balloons delivered is one of the best ideas I’ve had in ages. In most cases they are cheaper than sending champagne or a reasonable sized bouquet of flowers, which is an added bonus. I suppose the postage can’t be too much because balloons are mostly made of air! There are more added bonuses for the recipient – they are clean and tidy (no dead flowers to clean up), and they last for ages (technically so does champagne, but only if you can resist)! My sister also won’t be cursing that I’m ruining her waistline like last time, when I sent her a flower and chocolate bouquet. This time she’ll appreciate the thought behind the present, even if it will be personalised with her age!
Sending a balloon gift also opens up many more present-giving possibilities. For example, I don’t have to leave my younger brother out anymore – where champagne and flowers were never really suitable to send him through the post, balloons are ideal, especially personalised ones. Anyone who suffers from bad hayfever or doesn’t like champagne would also be a perfect candidate for receiving a balloon delivery.
