What do you think of a single Calla Lilly in a tall vase for wedding reception decor?
I am getting married Aug 30 this year and am having fall colors: tangerine, yellow, sage, and chocolate as my bridesmaids dresses and matching vests/bowties for groomsmen. My bridesmaid’s bouquets are going to be orange and yellow lillies, gerber daisies, and roses. My bridal bouquet is cascading with orange and yellow orchids, lillies, roses, and gerber daisies. I am having long rectangular 4X8 tables and thinking about putting two large calla lillies per table and about 5 votive candles on each table spread out. I want it really simple, but still pretty. What do you think about one orange, long stem calla lilly per vase, two per table with candles spread out on tables??? Is that too simple?
just an additional note: I would put the Calla Lilly in a simple 8″ Clear glass Sabrina Bud Vase, which is not too tall, and clip the ends of the lilly so it only sticks out of the vase about 4-5″.

and i’m planning to use these long stem flowers that have these red stems on the top i’m sorry i don’t know the name of it i saw them in the florist but i’m not sure of the name. so i think that the calla lilly would look great.
I don’t get how people say that having tall centerpieces hinder people’s conversation. in the contrary when people sit the centerpieces is not in their way. I went to this wedding and they had these beautiful centerpieces made of only flowers and it was beautiful but it was right in the middle and we couldn’t have a conversation with the people infront of us. that’s the main reason why i wanted tall centerpieces so my guest wouldn’t have that problem.
